PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D., in accordance with Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights and EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), informs you that if you send us an email to the indicated addresses or fill out any data collection form available on our website, the personal data you provide will be processed and incorporated into data processing activities for which Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. is responsible, in order to respond to your request with any of the following purposes, always related to the Club’s activities:

  • To manage and facilitate the use of the Website, access to contracted services, resolve your inquiries, and properly organize, manage, and administer procedures carried out through the Club’s Website, as well as to provide support for any questions, problems, or claims that may arise from using the Website.
  • To send, by any means including email or equivalent electronic communication, advertising or promotions about the Club’s products or services, or those of the Club’s sponsors, provided you have given or requested your consent and with the possibility of unsubscribing in each communication.
  • Push notifications on the website. We may ask for your consent to send notifications via the website with the notice: www.atleticodemadrid.com wants to “Show notifications,” which you may “Block” or “Allow.” You can configure notification permissions anytime from your browser settings.
  • If you are a CLUB MEMBER or NON-SEASON TICKET MEMBER, your data will be processed to maintain and manage your membership information, identify stadium access for security reasons, and promote the activities and services provided by Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D.   • TICKET sales: To manage and track ticket purchases until the event for which tickets were acquired has taken place. Only if the buyer has not accepted the checkbox for commercial data processing (at the “payment” step during the purchase process) will their data not be used for further communications from the Club.   • VIP BOXES, Neptuno-Atlético de Madrid Premium, and CATERING services are directly and exclusively operated by an external company selected and contracted by Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. to manage and track box sales until the event has taken place and to promote activities and services provided by the Club, subject to your consent. Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. selects only external processors and providers that offer sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure data processing complies with Regulation and national law and guarantees protection of your rights as a data subject.

  • ATLETI STORE. This official online store of Atlético de Madrid (atleticodemadridstore.com) is directly and exclusively operated under the responsibility of an external company, which has been selected and contracted for these purposes by Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. worldwide, for the exploitation of Atlético de Madrid’s registered trademarks and for the management and operation of Atlético de Madrid’s Official Online Store. The purpose of the store is to manage your purchase or request and to inform you, provided you have given your consent and express your agreement, about offers of services or products from Atlético de Madrid, its sponsors, or third parties, whose names you can consult in updated form on our website, by postal mail or other means, including electronic communication.   • ATLETI TOUR & MUSEUM. For the purpose of organizing your visit, either personally or as a group. Additionally, and always provided you have given your consent and agreement, we will send you information about offers of services or products from Club Atlético de Madrid, its sponsors, or third parties, whose names you can consult updated on our website, by postal mail or other means, including electronic media. Members must prove their status by presenting their membership card and identification document at the entrance on the day of the visit.
  • ACADEMY. Our club works daily to make the Academy one of the best comprehensive training centers for football players and values worldwide. Therefore, the data we collect is intended to maintain and manage the proper operation of the sports schools, and promote the activities and services provided by the Club. All data from minors will always be requested with the authorization and consent of the minor’s parent, mother, or guardian.

This model includes the Atlético de Madrid Foundation, which helps to spread the positive values of sport, reaching the most socially and humanitarily disadvantaged places worldwide, and also the Atlético de Madrid Women’s team, which involves female football players. Data may be shared with the Foundation solely to carry out the purposes described.

  • IMAGE PROCESSING. During tournaments, selection trials, or other promotional activities of male, female, or academy teams, photographs of the participants may be taken and published on the Club’s electronic media or social networks to inform about these activities, always within the described purposes, and only when adequate, relevant, and not excessive in relation to the scope and purposes determined.   • ATLÉTICO DE MADRID FOUNDATION, a non-profit entity channeling the Club’s major social work. The purpose of the Atlético de Madrid Foundation is to promote and develop the fundamental principles and values of sport in society, contributing to improving the education of people, especially children and adolescents, in their full social and cultural personal development. The Foundation is also committed to helping marginalized or needy groups integrate into society through sport and works to preserve the club’s historical and cultural value and legacy.

  • SUMMER CAMPS. Club Atlético de Madrid is a sports institution with a long tradition in the sporting and personal development of young players. For this reason, we believe in and work to promote values such as solidarity, companionship, and equality through sports practice, as well as improving social skills and communication. Our camp helps players maximize their sports abilities while having fun, learning, and enjoying themselves.

The data we collect is intended to maintain and manage the proper functioning of the sports camps and promote the activities and services offered by the Club. All data of minors will always be requested with the authorization and consent of the minor’s parent, mother, or guardian.   • NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FRANCHISED CAMPS. Club Atlético de Madrid collaborates with franchises worldwide to launch camps that transmit the club’s values and training model to children. To promote these events, the club launches advertising initiatives both on the Club’s social networks and other media exclusively to drive traffic to informational spaces or collect data from interested parties, thus facilitating detailed information about our franchised camps. Once contacts are collected by the Club, they are shared with the different franchises so they can contact, inform, and, if applicable, formalize registrations for the requested camps.

Data will always be collected to maintain and manage the proper functioning of the franchised sports camps. All data of minors will always be requested with the authorization and consent of their parents or guardians. This model includes our franchisees as collaborating companies that contribute to the management and organization of the camps, having access to data and potentially receiving data transfers for proper activity development.

  • SUMMER CAMPS WITH THIRD PARTIES. Occasionally, Club Atlético de Madrid, aiming to provide the best sports and professional training to children and young people, runs summer camps with collaborating companies, where children not only play football and train with Atlético de Madrid’s best coaches but also undergo a linguistic immersion, mainly in English, using the language as the only means of communication. The main objective of the camp is to provide specialized technical football training to students and create an English-speaking environment where children get used to using English or other languages naturally in daily life, overcoming the fear of practicing the language.

Data will be collected to maintain and manage the proper functioning of the sports camps and promote the Club’s activities and services. All data of minors will always be requested with the authorization and consent of the minor’s parent, mother, or guardian. This model includes collaborating companies that contribute to camp management and organization, which will have access to or may receive the data with prior user information and consent.

  • VOLUNTEERS. Our club invites you to join our volunteer team, seeking young people aged 16 to 25 who want to collaborate in various activities during the season and are Club members.

The purpose of collecting volunteers’ data is exclusively to manage and carry out volunteer activities. For additional information, you may write to voluntariosatm@atleticodemadrid.com.

  • SOCIAL NETWORKS. Any information published or disclosed through the official social media profiles of CLUB ATLÉTICO DE MADRID will become public information and will be available to visitors of these profiles and the general public. Therefore, it is recommended to exercise special care and diligence when sharing personal information or any other type of information on these platforms.
  • ATLÉTICO DE MADRID WHATSAPP BOT. COMMUNICATION CHANNEL. CLUB ATLÉTICO DE MADRID provides its members and all users with a communication channel through the WhatsApp messaging application at the number 690372769 to facilitate access to club information. For the bot to contact a fan for the first time, the fan must have added the number 690372769 to their contacts and proactively started a direct communication within the messaging app. Before this initial proactive step by the fan, the virtual assistant will not initiate any communication. The club will store WhatsApp identifiers of the fans and collect usage data of the bot in order to continuously improve the service and facilitate access to the most useful and requested information by the fans.
  • CONTACT CENTER. CLUB ATLÉTICO DE MADRID offers its members and all users a telephone help center. Calls may be recorded for quality control purposes, and recordings will be kept for 15 days.
  • RIYADH AIR METROPOLITANO WIFI. CLUB ATLÉTICO DE MADRID provides its members and all people accessing the Stadium with WIFI access service. Only if you have not accepted the checkbox for the commercial use of your data (at the time of connection) will these data not be used for future communications by the Club.
  • Atlético de Madrid APP. Alerts and Notifications. In the official Atlético de Madrid app, you can follow all information about our team, access live match statistics, receive commercial offers, and configure your alerts at any time so you don’t miss anything. Additionally, you have the option to activate or deactivate these notifications on your mobile device.

To register in the App, you must accept our privacy policy; therefore, it is important that you read it carefully. At some point, the App may request your geolocation to offer you the best route to the Metropolitano.

  • You must confirm acceptance of the Legal Notice, this Privacy Policy, the applicable General and Specific Terms and Conditions of contracting, and, if applicable, the sending of commercial communications by checking the corresponding box provided for that purpose.

Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. declares that it has adopted all necessary and appropriate technical and organizational security measures in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 and Royal Decree 1720/2007 and has implemented all technical means at its disposal to prevent loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access, or theft of the data you provide.

 

VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. has installed video surveillance and image capture systems in all its facilities. We inform you that your data will be processed in accordance with current regulations, as follows:

  • Legal basis for processing: legitimate interest.
  • Purpose of processing: to preserve the security of people and property, as well as its facilities and IT equipment through a video surveillance system.
  • Data retention criteria: data will be kept for a maximum of 30 calendar days.
  • Data disclosure: data will not be shared with any third parties, except when requested by the State Security Forces and Bodies or judicial authorities.
  • Rights of Data Subjects:
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time.
  • Right to access, rectify, and delete your data, as well as to limit or oppose its processing.
  • Right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority (agpd.es) if you consider that the processing does not comply with current regulations.

RIGHT OF ACCESS TO IMAGES: To comply with the right of access, a recent photograph and the National Identity Document of the interested party will be requested, along with the date and time to which the request refers. Direct access to camera footage showing images of third parties will not be granted. If it is not possible to show the images without displaying third parties, a document will be provided confirming or denying the existence of images of the requester.

Law 19/2007, of July 11, against violence, racism, xenophobia, and intolerance in sport, as well as its implementing regulation, establishes that, for security reasons, organizers of sports competitions and events designated by the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance in Sport must install closed-circuit television systems to record the access and full capacity of the sports venue, including surrounding areas where crowding may occur. They must also take the necessary measures to ensure proper maintenance and operation.

The Club maintains a record of processing activities for video surveillance and an inventory for camera location and control.

PRINCIPLES WE APPLY AT THE CLUB TO THE DATA YOU PROVIDE TO US

Principle of lawfulness, fairness, and transparency: We will always request your consent for the processing of your personal data for one or more specific purposes, which we will inform you about in advance with complete transparency.

Principle of data minimization: We will only request data that is strictly necessary in relation to the purposes for which we need it. The minimum possible.

Principle of limitation of retention period: Data will be kept no longer than necessary for the purposes of the processing, according to the intended purpose.

Principle of integrity and confidentiality: Your data will be processed in a way that guarantees adequate security and confidentiality. You should know that we take all necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized access or misuse of our users’ data by third parties.

LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. is authorized to process personal data based on the following:

  • The client has provided their personal data for pre-contractual or contractual relationships.
  • You are a club member, non-subscriber member, fan club member, volunteer, or participate in any of the Club’s activities described in the purposes.
  • The User or client has given informed consent for receiving commercial communications, for the installation of tracking systems that inform about browsing habits according to the Cookie Policy, or for sending information requested through contact forms.
  • There are legal obligations that require the processing of personal data, in accordance with the services provided.

In general, the legal basis that supports us in processing your data on our website is CONSENT, and if you are already our client or member, the legal basis is the PERFORMANCE OF A CONTRACT.

In some cases, processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation applicable to the Club, such as identification upon entering the stadium for security reasons.

You can request the legal basis for each of our processing activities by asking for our register of activities.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD

At the Club, we aim for the personal data provided to be retained only for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected and to determine any possible liabilities that may arise from the purpose for which they were collected.

Data retention criteria: Data will be kept for the period required by law, while there is a mutual interest in maintaining the purpose of processing, and when no longer necessary for that purpose, while the contractual relationship exists, while deletion is not requested by the data subject, and if data must not be deleted due to legal obligations or for the formulation, exercise, and defense of claims. Data will be deleted using appropriate security measures to guarantee pseudonymization or total destruction.

If the User withdraws consent or exercises cancellation or deletion rights, their personal data will be blocked and kept available to the Justice Administration during legally established periods to address possible liabilities arising from data processing. DATA OF MINORS

Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. will not collect or process personal data of minors under 14 years oldwithout full compliance with the requirements established in the applicable data protection regulations 3/2018 and EU Regulation 679/2016.

The processing of a child’s personal data will be considered lawful when the child is at least 14 years old. If the child is under 14, such processing will only be lawful if consent was given or authorized by the holder of parental authority or guardianship over the child, and only to the extent that such consent or authorization was given.

MINOR MEMBERS. Younger individuals can also be members of Atlético de Madrid, even from the day they are born. They are the future because from an early age they already feel and get excited about Atleti. Becoming members now is very easy. For children, there are two types of non-subscriber membership cards depending on age:

  1. Junior Membership Card (from 0 to 4 years old)
  2. Non-subscriber Child Membership Card (from 5 to 13 years old)

Processing will only be considered lawful if consent was given or authorized by the holder of parental authority or guardianship over the child, and only to the extent given or authorized.

DISCLOSURES AND RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

All disclosures indicated below are necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes or are carried out in compliance with a legal obligation. Personal data may be disclosed to:

  • Fundación Atlético de Madrid, a non-profit entity that channels the Club’s major Social Work.
  • Collaborating Entities and Sponsors. With your consent, the CLUB will communicate your data to collaborating and sponsoring companies. On the website, you can see the entities that sponsor and collaborate with the Club.
  • Public Administrations and the Justice Administration.
  • IT service providers, including cloud computing services.

DATA TRANSFERS TO THIRD COUNTRIES

The processing of your data is generally carried out by service providers located within the European Union or in countries declared to have an adequate level of data protection, although occasionally, to carry out the purposes mentioned above, certain companies providing services to Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D. may access your personal data (international data transfers).

Such transfers are made to countries with a level of protection equivalent to that of the European Union (European Commission adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, as well as certification mechanisms), and at all times we ensure that whoever holds your information to help us provide our services does so with full guarantees regarding data protection.

PROCESSING OF CURRICULUM VITAE

As indicated by EU Regulation 2016/679, candidates who provide us with their data are asked for their clear consent when collecting their personal data and the uses that will be given to it. For this reason, we provide the information clearly and concisely, also informing the candidate that they may request a copy of their data, which will be provided in a structured format.

Regarding data retention, we only keep data that is up to date; thus, CVs not updated for more than 24 months will be deleted or blocked to prevent access. Our Club has maintained for years a strict privacy policy regarding the data of people who have established relationships with us by sending their CVs. The purpose of processing your data is to process your job application and manage the possible selection process, which may include participation in various selection tests.

Therefore, we inform you that your data has been included in a processing activity and may be shared with temporary work agencies or other recruitment companies, so that you may participate in future personnel selection processes. If your data has changed, please inform us in writing at recursoshumanos@atleticodemadrid.com. If you do not express your opposition in writing within 30 days, we understand that you give your consent for the aforementioned processing.

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECTS

Users/clients may exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, and portability of their data, as well as the rights to restrict and object to its processing before Club Atlético de Madrid S.A.D., as well as the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing of their data.
